A Holland-Germany final...would be one to look forward to!


But...I do feel sad for the Brazilian people. And players. A humiliation isn't exactly what I'd wished them. 1-0 or 2-1 for Germany would've been enough.

Oh dear - I can already imagine the headlines we will see tomorrow all over the world, all in military vocabulary... but what to do if it works out that way....

Yes, when I started writing this post, it was 3-0 and when the goals followed in quick succession, I started to feel a bit uneasy.

But now: I can only hope that nothing dramatic will happen after this...no riots, no revenge on the players, please, please.

The initial happiness turned into disbelief and uncertainty about how a nation, Brazil, will react...

Remains that I'm happy for Germany - they played a fantastic match. Nothing to take away from that.

And I do hope there will not be any 'military vocabulary' to tell about the German win. I believe that in Holland that time is, for by far the most people, behind us. Germany is a very good neighbour since many years and most Dutch people are aware of that!

Totally breathless. Watched in a pub and ... wow, did we have a nice evening!

Now I hope for Germany-Netherlands!!!

(I doubt that about the military vocabulary. Even British tabloids have come off it, and they were the last bastions, so to speak.)
